Brief history of the magazine:

Punk magazine was a fanzine created in the mid-1970s that served as a crucial document of the early punk rock scene in New York City, providing essential coverage of bands like The Ramones, Sex Pistols, and Blondie through its unique, rebellious, and often satirical style, effectively capturing the spirit and attitude of the punk subculture through articles, cartoons, and photography; its importance lies in being one of the first publications to widely publicize and legitimize punk music, helping to solidify the movement's identity and reach a wider audience.

Beyond music reviews, Punk magazine often included provocative content addressing social issues through a punk lens.

This magazine was started in 1975 by John Holmstrom.
